Lehigh Alumni Stage Band

Since 1979, a group of stalwart Lehigh alumni have put together a stage band to entertain folks during Lehigh University's alumni weekend, Friday evening. This enterprise was started by Steve Bartosik (77) who also leads an alumni marching band during the Saturday festivities.

During its early years, the stage band met for three or four consecutive Sunday afternoons to rehearse prior to alumni weekend. The band helped entertain during the Alumni Association's annual awards banquet, held on Friday evening in Stabler Arena. In addition to playing our rehearsed charts at breaks in the proceedings, we also played Lehigh fight songs, using all parts of GRL<squared>, to accompany the award winners to and from the stage.
